Ever thought how much time you waste on repetitive tasks when using your computer?
Simple things like just running your programs or typing the same thing over and over can really add up in terms of time waste.

I know I easily get side tracked so finding software that increases my productivity is a good thing. (Does that mean I get more time to waste?)
And as an added bonus, I’m going to give both a Windows and a Mac version of the applications covered …

The Areas

I remember first seeing a mosaic picture I think it was back in the time of the movie 'The Truman Show'. You know the one where the main picture is actually made up of heaps of smaller pictures, whose colours shape the outlines of the main picture.

After only being a relatively new Mac owner - 7 months or so - I've come to really love some of the apps that enhance my productivity or simply make using a computer a joy. In no real order, I'll jot them down.

Please do comment on your thoughts as I'd be interested to hear your side of things.

I started off with the Macbook Pro and really disliking the Trackpad.

Don't get me wrong here. The Macbook Pro is one hot dang sexy unit. I think coming from a Windows system, I like my two button mouse, double-clicking where required as well as right-clicking. It seemed to me that the TrackPad was simply limiting in functionality.

Well, smack my tushy, how wrong can I be!!!
OSX has some really hidden secrets in it's Preferences and the Trackpad is one of them.

For the last month or so, I've been adopting the approach of my mail program not actually ruling my life.

Yeah, you know exactly what I'm talking about :-
• As soon as the computer is turned on, check email
• Email program checks every 5 or 10 minutes
• Inbox emails start to pile up to an unmanageable number
• The email program is one of the main pieces of software in your day to day routine.

Well, that's all changed for me .....
